Chi Systems Terms and Agreement
Definitions
Chi Systems (us, we, the company, chi, chi systems) – Chi Systems company
Client (you, customer, individual, client) – The individual requesting service, either on their own (personal) behalf, or on behalf of another
Promotion – A sale, special or discount on service or services, product or products of Chi System which results in a reduced price on the aforementioned.
Billable Service Time – Billable service time is any time spent organizing, rendering or completing service on your behalf. This can include the ordering of parts, travel time, or any other time spent rendering services.
Purpose
This document is established for the legal protection of both us (Chi Systems) and you (the client). This document will serve as binding in any situation in which you explicitly or implicitly agree to the provisions contained herein.
This document will serve as a reference for both Chi Systems and the client should a dispute arise.
Introduction
You are bound to this agreement if you: 1) have a service scheduled, 2) have a service performed or 3) engage in business with Chi Systems by any other arrangement or context.
Payment Structure
The payment structure outlined in this document is the absolute pricing structure. If any dispute arises, the pricing structure outlined below will be the master reference guide.
Hourly Rate of Pay: $25.00 per hour on site, or spent organizing, rendering or completing services. Should a time period less than a full hour be required, charges will apply as outlined below:
Partial Hour Rate of Pay: If the partial hour is within 1 minute and 30 minutes long, the charge for this time period will be no more than $15.00. If the partial hour is within 31 minutes and 59 minutes, the charge will be for a full hour of service ($25.00).
This rate of pay applies to every service offered by Chi Systems.
Custom PC Assembly: This service requires an initial flat fee of $100.00. This fee is to cover labor involved in ordering, shipping and receiving parts for your computer. This fee includes 2 (two) hours of billable time. After 2 hours of time has been elapsed while providing the assembly service, the hourly rate of pay, as defined above, is charged for each hour of billable service time.
Computer Upgrade Service: This service requires an initial flat fee of $60.00. This fee is to cover labor involved in ordering, shipping and receiving parts to upgrade your computer. This fee includes 2 (two) hours of billable time. After 2 hours of time has been elapsed while providing the assembly service, the hourly rate of pay, as defined above, is charged for each hour of billable service time.
Computer Diagnostics & General Repair: This service requires an initial flat fee of $65.00. This fee includes 2 (two) hours of billable time. After 2 hours of time has been elapsed while providing the assembly service, the hourly rate of pay, as defined above, is charged for each hour of billable service time.
Data Back Up Services: This service requires an initial flat fee of $50.00. This fee is to cover labor involved in ordering, shipping and receiving parts to upgrade your computer. This fee includes 2 (two) hours of billable time. After 2 hours of time has been elapsed while providing the assembly service, the hourly rate of pay, as defined above, is charged for each hour of billable service time.
Parts: Any of the services that we offer may require us to purchase parts on your behalf, or for us to provide parts from our inventory to repair your computer. The costs associated with these items are not included in the rates mentioned above. If parts are required to complete the service(s) requested you will be billed the cost of the parts in addition to the prices set forth above.
Cancellations & Location Fee: This clause applies to every person that this agreement applies to. If you request a service from Chi Systems and we make a reasonable, good faith effort to provide the service but you cancel the service or request that we not perform the service you will be charged a $35.00 cancellation fee. If we arrive to perform the service you request and, for any reason, you are not able to allow us to perform the service, you will be charged a location fee of $35.00. This fee will only be incurred if you cancel or otherwise stop us from performing the agreed upon service.
Payment Terms and Methods
Terms: Payment is due upon receipt of our invoice.
Methods: Payments accepted include cash, personal check, certified checks and money orders. VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express are also accepted.
Liability
This section of the document will discuss what liabilities Chi Systems claims while working on your machine.
Warranty: Computers can be very volatile – usage can cause further corruption or further issues concerning successful operation. As such, Chi Systems offers no warranty, neither implicitly or explicitly to the services we perform and our liability will only extend to the cost of the service we are providing. Chi Systems offers no warranty, neither implicitly or explicitly to the parts we install in your machine. The only warranty provided on parts is the manufacturer’s warranty, if the manufacturer offers a warranty. Under no circumstance will Chi Systems be held liable for faulty parts beyond the price you pay to purchase the part from us.
